Cracks & Air Leaks

Cracks occur when alloy wheels are driven on flat tyres or when they collide with stationary obstacles such as potholes, speed bumps, kerbs and raised road surfaces. Air leaks are caused by corrosion on the inner rim of an alloy wheel.

Cracks and air leaks are common forms of alloy wheel damage that compromise a wheel’s structural and mechanical integrity. Winter weather conditions increase chances of cracks and air leaks occurring. In many cases drivers are unaware of the damage to their wheels.

We repair cracks using welding equipment and processes of the highest standards. Air leaks are most commonly repaired by skimming the inner rims of alloy wheels.
